Job Description

Job Summary: 

The Account Specialist is responsible for developing relationships with Humboldt Merchant Services (HMS) sales partners, assisting with merchant applications, and covering phones, special projects, and email work flow.

 

Job Duties:

  • Develop positive and professional relationships with HMS sales partners by providing inbound service and support and ensuring sales partner satisfaction.
  • Develop positive and professional relationships with members of HMS’s internal departments to facilitate the execution of high priority requests.
  • Input merchant application information into systems, follow up on missing information and communicate account approvals/declines.
  • Provide guidance and direction to sales partners by articulating HMS's business value to resolve issues.
  • Prioritize sales partner requests, and deliver timely and thorough resolutions.
  • Answer incoming calls, respond to emails and requests, and submit feedback and inquiries within established service level agreements.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge base of industry products, services and competitor offerings inclusive of HMS's competitive advantage.
  • Provide and track continuous education of sales partners to ensure they are up to date on HMS's program and systems.

 

 

Job Requirements

Education, Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum one (1) year sales/support experience.
  • Payment industry experience preferred.
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, and proficient with Microsoft Office and email system.
  • Ability to remain focused and display a high level of professionalism during challenging and high pressure situations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, exercise sound judgment and escalate through the proper channels.
