Job Description

THE ROLE:

If you are an experienced accountant, looking to move up in your career and learn an exciting new industry, consider North American Bancard!  This position will serve as a key accounting and finance resource supporting an important function critical to the success of the company.    We need an energized individual who can juggle many tasks, enjoys being able to do more than routine accounting tasks, and someone who can tell the story –what do the numbers mean?  If you are a person who embraces a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, and a strong, collaborative team, we want you!

 

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?     

  • Be part of a team that has a strong foundation.

  • Provide solid day-to-day accounting support that includes reconciliations,  assistance for audits, and other G/L responsibilities.
  • Engage with other team members to expand your knowledge, learn the business, and build relationships.
  • Tackle and resolve issues; review and verify data accuracy.  Be resourceful.
  • Analyze the data – tell the story behind the numbers.
  • Can you juggle?  Priorities we mean.  There’s reporting, requests, and recommendations to round out your days.
  • Assist with monthly and year-end closings, ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
  • Other accounting-related tasks as assigned.

 

Job Requirements

IN ADDITION TO EXPERIENCE IN THE TASKS ABOVE, HERE ARE A FEW MORE THINGS WE NEED FROM YOU:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Accounting or Finance roles (7 preferred).

  • Experience with routine accounting functions and GAAP knowledge.

  • Demonstrated experience in creative problem solving.

  • Be able to demonstrate strong presentation skills.

  • An individual who enjoys learning the business and offers strategic and pro-active support in a rapidly changing environment.

  • A person who is comfortable communicating with all levels of management.

  • Be able to perform duties with minimum instruction – take charge of what you own.

  • Ability to communicate well with team members in remote locations.

  • Strong Excel capabilities.
