CHARGEBACK REPRESENTATIVE - EPX - Tempe, AZ

GET TO KNOW THE ROLE:

We are seeking a Chargeback Representative who will be responsible for reviewing incoming chargebacks (disputed debit and credit card transactions) for accuracy and supporting documentation.  Utilizing various software applications, you will process outgoing credit card transaction disputes on behalf of the merchant or bank, ensuring accurate and timely resolution.

Here's more of what you'll be doing:

  • Monitor incoming chargebacks for support documentation as established by the Card Brand’s guidelines
  • Working on the card bank chargeback systems, match supporting documentation/information to the corresponding chargeback/retrieval request
  • Transfer incoming chargebacks and retrievals to merchant queues along with supporting documentation
  • Receive incoming re-presentment requests from merchants/banks and review for accuracy as well as Card Brand guidelines
  • Initiate re-presentments and supply supporting documentation to card brand applications
  • Communicate dispute information/prevention methods to merchants when required
  • Monitor age of “work in process” and proactively work to resolve items
  • Maintain industry knowledge regarding card brand regulatory and rule changes

 

Job Requirements

What we need from you:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Troubleshooting and technical skills
  • Basic computer skills, including electronic mail (Microsoft Outlook), spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel), and windows-based applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well as a team member in a fast-paced, high volume production center
  • Excellent Customer Service skills

 

How to be an all star:

  • Previous experience in chargeback processing and dispute resolution preferred (working knowledge of Master Com and Visa ROL applications).
