North American Bancard, LLC, a leader in payments technology, is looking for a Human Resources Manager to work onsite in our Woodland Hills, CA location.

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the overall administration of HR programs, practices, and policies for the California offices, and, other related entities in Florida and Oregon.. This position will retain day-to-day responsibility for employee relations, recruitment and other HR activities, as well as strategic initiatives.  This position will maintain and lead all HR disciplines, including Employee Relations, Compensation, Benefits, and Performance Management.

 

What you will be doing: 

  • Stay abreast of current and future business needs for assigned teams / entities and work closely with HR Business Partners and other HR Cohorts for seamless HR support and guidance to management and employees
  • Administers and communicates HR programs & initiatives for local office in alignment with the overall business goals and objectives
  • Provides advice and counsel to managers and employees on complex employee relations matters by partnering with the leadership team and managing employee relations, and by contributing to the overall employee engagement and culture; conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations as needed
  • Keep abreast of changes in employment law and ensure that all employment policies follow current law and regulations
  • Oversees coaching and supports management for employee career development and disciplinary actions
  • Conducts exit interviews for all departing employees
  • Facilitates development and monitoring of employee performance improvement plans
  • Assists in the recruitment efforts for all entity roles, including sourcing, interviewing and hiring
  • Ensures local, state & government compliance in areas such as wage and hour, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)
  • Ensures consistent administration of company policies and procedures by facilitating, monitoring and performing employee management and training
  • Ensures the onboarding process and the welcoming of new employees aligns with desired employee engagement outcomes
  • Supports site leaders with emergency situations and assists with developing and implementing effective remedial actions.

Job Requirements

What we need from you:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Minimum 5 years HR experience, including 3 years’ experience as a business partner or a generalist capacity
  • Experience in employee relations and performance management
  • Experience with navigating through a Human Resource Information System (HRIS)
  • Comprehensive understanding of local, state and federal employment laws
  • Ability to collaborate with local leadership as well as remote customer and peer teams
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and projects
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet, word processor and presentation programs
  • Ability to travel 5-15% of the time

 

It would be a plus if you had: 

  • PHR or SPHR Certification
  • Previous experience in an HR site leadership, or, supervisory capacity
  • Bi-lingual - Spanish
