We are looking for a Learning and Development Trainer for Total Merchant Services in our Woodland Hills location. In this role, you will ascertain learning needs, create course curriculum and facilitate training to both new and existing team members to meet business needs and help ensure team member success.

 

Here is what you'll be doing:

  • Confer with management, supervisors and employees to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives and technologies
  • Develop strong relationships with internal customers to develop course materials and receive feedback
  • Create relevant and timely learning experiences for multiple teams in classroom settings as well as one on one, virtual, and e-learning platforms
  • Facilitate learning events both in-person and virtually
  • Test trainees to measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of training
  • Review quality analytics to identify areas for continuous improvement and then create action plans to assist.
  • Project management, prioritizing and overseeing multiple learning programs and corporate initiatives
  • Establish and build relationships across the organization
  • Remain current with business and industry activities (e.g. new products, new processes, new entities)
  • Ensure learning assets remain current and accessible
  • Learning Management System (LMS) responsibilities to include ad-hoc enrollment, compliance metrics for courses not completed, reports and class registration.
  • Complete ad hoc projects as assigned by Learning Manager
  • Ensure that all training materials and programs are compliant with laws and regulations governing the industry

 

Job Requirements

Here is what you'll need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Education, Communications or Human Resources
  • Master’s degree in Business or Education preferred
  • Prior experience as a teacher or substitute teacher preferred
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in classroom facilitation
  • Demonstrated ability to design engaging learning materials to support curriculum that translate to desired outcomes.
  • Experience delivering content in-person and in a virtual format
  • Program implementation and monitoring
  • Learning Management System (LMS) experience
  • Program/project management experience
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Exceptional facilitation and presentation skills with the ability to engage trainees in discussions during educational sessions
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Confidence and comfort with communicating with leaders across all levels of an organization
  • Must have strong critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Good problem solving and decision making skills along with the ability to exercise sound judgement
  • Advanced MS Office and G-Suite skillsHelpful demeanor
  • Project management & prioritization
  • Understands business acumen
  • Understand learning theory and practice
  • Exceptional listening skills, intellectually curious and proactive mindset

 License and Certification:

  • Certified Professional Trainer (CPT) designation preferred
  • Teacher Certification preferred
