Job Description

Job Summary:

Provides support to the sales team by relieving them of administrative work such as lead generation, customer relationship management (CRM) reporting and tracking, contract administration, and database maintenance. 

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform research using the internet, industry publications, census data, and other resources to identify, quantify, and document new sales opportunities.
  • Produce reports and analysis on client portfolios, pricing programs, and aging and/or expiring contracts
  • Identify underperforming accounts on a monthly basis and recommend corrective actions for execution by the sales team
  • Become an expert in interchange and processing costs, able to identify issues and recommend solutions
  • Perform research and outreach to identify new opportunities for the sales team to attend conference and trade shows in their target markets
  • Perform data entry and opportunity research on contacts acquired through trade show and conference attendance
  • Assist in maintaining a repository of information about competitors
  • Assist in assessing the success of sales campaigns in target markets
  • Learn, develop, and maintain in-depth knowledge of industry, products, services, potential customers

Job Requirements

 

Education and Experience (required):

  • Two years of college education in business, marketing, sales or similar focus and at two years of related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field preferred

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (required):

  • Excellent internet search skills
  • Willingness to learn new concepts and become a deep subject matter expert in payment processing concepts
  • Familiarity with basic financial anaysis
  • Prior lead generation experience preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills and detail orientation.
  • Prior documentation and data management experience.
  • Ability to learn systems, create reports, and create presentations
  • Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Competent user of Salesforce or similar CRMs, Excel, basic math and analytics abilities (Power-users preferred)

Working Conditions:

Working environment is generally favorable.  Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.
