Job Description

North American Bancard, LLC, is looking for a Senior Security Engineer to join the team. Preferable locations would be Troy, Michigan, Denver, Colorado or Phoenix, Arizona. We will also consider remote/virtual work for the right candidate. 


The Senior Security Engineer will manage daily security operations with a focus on AWS security and application security.  You will be analyzing information security systems and applications to identify the vulnerabilities. The Senior Security Engineer will also recommend and develop security measures to protect information against unauthorized modification or loss. You will also coordinate with development teams or third parties to fix systems/application vulnerabilities.

What you will be doing: 

  • Administer Splunk Enterprise Security. Review and triage alerts according to the defined security policy.
  • Manage the network security scans, ensure the appropriate teams remediate findings from the scans, and review the reports on a daily basis.
  • Participate in security architecture review of internal systems.
  • Coordinate application security scans with the development teams and work with the teams to ensure findings are remediated.
  • Develop and improve security automation to support delivering enterprise security services.
  • Architect and research security solutions for AWS cloud and implement security monitoring with the AWS environment.
  • Ensure AV policies and protection controls are implemented across NAB and investigate and triage AV incidents.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards.

 

Job Requirements

What we need from you: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Cyber Security, Computer Science or related field
  • Five (5) years of experience performing manual software and infrastructure penetration tests
  • Five (5) years of experience using application and infrastructure penetration testing tools such as Nessus, Burp Suite Professional, Metasploit, Checkmarx, sqlmap, and Nmap
  • Two (2) years of experience in securing and monitoring AWS
  • Five (5) years of experience with log analysis, event correlation and incident management procedures and systems.
  • Able to communicate technical issues to non-technical people
  • Familiarity with commonly used vulnerability scoring systems (e.g., CVSS), OWASP and SANS
  • Broad knowledge of Enterprise Software Engineering
  • Proven ability to deliver strategic plans for the organization to meet long term goals and successfully implement those plans
  • Self-driven and able to work independently
