POINT & PAY -- Settlements Accounting Associate Position - Oldsmar, FL

Point & Pay, a subsidiary of North American Bancard, designs, builds, and integrates unique payment solutions for governments, utilities, courts, and more. Our efficient, flexible systems enable clients to accept credit card payments or e-Checks.  We pride ourselves on our customer support, technology and high retention of clients.

If you're seeking to build a career with a great company, this position will primarily focus on the daily client settlement process.  Over time this role may expand into other settlement tasks and responsibilities.  The ideal candidate for this role is an analytical person with high detail focus and a strong aptitude for problem solving. 

Here are some of the duties you will have:

  • Oversee the daily credit card settlement process for a large number of merchants
  • Create cash receipts/payments to post transactions 
  • Maintain ACH rejects in multiple systems
  • Reconcile daily funding 
  • Investigate and communicate funding discrepancies 
  • Liaison between Finance and internal departments, providing research and support
  • Maintain balance sheet accounts and perform monthly reconciliations
  • Maintain and reconcile transactional data in Great Plains and Merchant Ledger
  • Provide financial analysis reporting regularly and as requested
  • Identify and assist with implementing process improvements
  • Handle ad hoc duties as requested by management

 

Job Requirements

Here is what we need from you:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 1 year of related accounting work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree major in Finance, Accounting, or Business preferred
  • General knowledge of accounting principles
  • Excellent computer skills, including strong Excel skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be well organized and detail oriented
  • Proven analytical skills
  • Must have a strong aptitude and ability for problem solving
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to maintain and analyze large volumes of data preferred
  • Strong mathematical skills preferred
