Job Description

North American Bancardis seeking a Vice President of Finance.  This position is based in Troy, Michigan. 

We're a payments technology leader, providing a complete suite of payment acceptance solutions and business solutions to more than 350,000 businesses in the US and Canada.

The primary focus of the Vice President of Finance is to oversee and maintain the business financial obligations for North American Bancard.  This position requires a high level of leadership, integrity, accuracy and follow-through.  Further, this individual will play a critical role on the senior leadership team in strategic decision making and financial operations as North American Bancard continues to expand and grow.  The ideal candidate for this role has a background supporting a middle to large size entrepreneurial organization’s finances and is comfortable providing feedback to senior management as trends dictate necessary changes to the status quo.  

Here are some additional responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly balance sheet, profit and loss statements, as well as other financial reports
  • Prepare weekly and monthly KPI’s for execution of goals
  • Oversee year-end audit, including review of schedules, walk-through's and compilation of financial statements and footnotes
  • Oversee annual budget process using dashboards and other analytical tools, analyze financial trends for business needs;
  • Report ongoing organizational financial needs to management
  • Bring best-in-class processes to the settlement function and develop this team to become an independent operational group outside of ordinary finance department
  • Lead, manage and oversee various accounting and finance teams
  • Identify and manage business risks and insurance requirements 
  • Collaborate with leaders of other departments to prepare for critical business opportunities
  • Miscellaneous reporting and responsibilities as required and needed
  • Evaluate the need for new technology to meet the organization’s financial data processing, control and reporting requirements

Job Requirements

Here is what we need from you:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in a Business or Finance related field required
  • Minimum 15 years’ financial management experience required
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a leadership role required
  • MBA Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the electronic payments processing industry preferred
  • CPA Required
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with others both internally and externally to achieve the goals of the organization
  • Communicate in a clear, thorough and timely manner using appropriate and effective communication tools and techniques
  • Anticipate, understand and respond to the needs of internal and external clients to meet or exceed their expectations within the organizational parameters
  • Determine strategies to move NAB forward, set goals, create and implement action plans, and evaluate process and results
  • Assess problems to identify causes and gather relevant information to generate possible solutions and make recommendations to resolve the problem
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
