NORTH AMERICAN BANCARD - Vice President, Product Development

 

The Vice President of Product Insights and Advancements is a dynamic thought-leader responsible for accelerating NABs innovations internally and externally.  Through rigorous analysis, focus on our customers, creative thinking, and deep partnership within the business you will shape and deliver the transformation integral for our on-going success.

Here are some responsibilities of this role:

  • Develop a deep knowledge and alignment of NAB’s product set to the corporate vision
  • Evaluate and prioritize product roadmap based on product/marketplace adoption/sales performance
  • Develop and influence a competitive plan complete with marketplace insights to create differentiation
  • Lead the creation and evolution of compelling product features across the platform
  • Lead and influence the evolution of the organization by producing scorecards, product metrics, benchmarking studies, competitive analysis and other measures to track adoption and positioning
  • Collaborate with technology resources through all phases of the product development lifecycle, including design, build and test of requirements and manage on-time delivery of releases
  • Create and lead a team of diverse product managers and BSAs to deliver MRD’s (Market Requirements Documents) and PRD’s (Product Requirements Documents) with prioritized features and corresponding business cases
  • Lead and participate in beta and pilot programs with early-stage product, feature enhancements and samples
  • Oversee the commercialization and product roll out strategy to deliver best in class user experiences for our internal and external partners, merchants and integrators
  • Develop a strong understanding of market demands, technology trends, and the competitive field
  • Develop and seek understanding of customer’s needs and mobilize internally to respond accordingly
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with all Department, Managers, and Executives

 

Job Requirements

Here is what is required from you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent industry experience
  • Minimum five (5) years’ management experience
  • Minimum ten (10) years’ industry leadership experience and product experience
  • Technical background, with experience in payment processing, mobile applications and/or point of sale systems
  • Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products

  • Exceptional leadership skills.
  • Excellent understanding of the payments industry and its competitive landscape.
  • Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, decision making and creative skills.
  • Excellent teamwork skills and ability to influence and lead a cross-functional team
  • Travel required
